Ok so I have a semi update. I got my turbo warrantied and here is whats goin on with the knock.. I was getting 09 degrees of knock on WOT. pulled power off battery for about 5min and reconnected got in car and 0degrees of knock!! everything else was left the same. After a couple days knock comes back. So it cant be real knock otherwise it would do it right after I reset battery right? Reset battery again knock goes away. Learndown feature possibly? Car is practically stock. What changes when you reset battery then after a couple days? Mods are knn drop in.

still no knock but I haven't floored it in first. This is soo weird. Anyone if your having knock reset your battery for a little and then don't floor it in first gear? Anyone else care to take a stab at this?

Long term fuel trim shift with the K&N drop in is prob around 7% from what others have logged with HP Tuners. I'm guessing after it relearns the MAF trims, it gets worse on the KR. You need to tune for any intake change on the LNF, the MAF sensor is very touchy to any intake change.

The 02 sensor will correct the fuel trims but since the base trim is off, it takes time for the short term fuel trims to react (richen it up) on every throttle change. (accel) I suspect that you are too lean on tip in with the K&N in there if you didn't tune for it.

Put the stock filter in, reset the ECU and drive it for a week. I bet your KR goes down a bit and stays there.

Or tune for the K&N drop in.

I usually see more KR for a few key cycles after tweaking the tune or resetting the ECU, not less though.

it did this even when stock. Its crazy as long as I never floor it in first gear I get 0 knock. its really weird. Once I floor it in first it knocks every gear all the sudden. However its all false knock. But it still pulls timing. I am going to be getting HPtuners soon so I will log it and post the logs up maybe you can see whats up? I am still learning how to use the hpt before I buy it.
